Tucson Gem and Mineral Show 2023

Winter in the desert gives Arizonians a reprieve from the oppressive summer heat and allows us to enjoy more outdoor activities. With its long mining history, it is no surprise that Arizona is also home to one of the oldest and largest mineral shows in the country. Every February, people from all over the world travel to our little oasis in the desert (the Berkley of Arizona) to explore, learn, share, and shop all things rocks and minerals. 2023 marks the 68th annual gathering of this event.
Beginning in 1946, the small group was established to share their interest in the hobby of mineral collecting and lapidary. From the start, the societies wish was to educate and share their appreciation this hobby. Over the years as the society has grown, it offers monthly meetings and special events during the year, including field trips, a summer potluck, a holiday dinner, and annual show. The Tucson Gem and Mineral Society also offers educational classes to share their knowledge and expertise. The classes range in subject matter such as: How to clean minerals, Gemstone Knowledge, and How to get the most from your metal detectors. The society has also helped support the mineral collections of The University or Arizona and the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum. They also fund graduate scholarships in the Geosciences Department of The University of Arizona and a scholarship for the Boys and Girls Club.

Tickets are $12.00 with a $1.00 TCC ticket tax
