It’s that time of year when the residents of the Valley flea the 110-degree weather for the cooler pines of Prescott. If you have been mulling the idea around, this weekend will be a good one to put those plans into motion as the Prescott Blue Grass Festival is this weekend. This year marks the 43rd annual celebration of music on the Yavapai County Courthouse lawn. The festival started as a fiddle contest at Watson Lake Park and over the years it evolved into a two-day free event that moved locations to the historic courthouse lawn. This event is the only free bluegrass festival of this caliber in the Western United States. This is all thanks to the support of the Prescott Chamber of Commerce and sponsors like Lamb Chevrolet. Now down to some info.

Lawn Chairs are recommended, and I have seen shade tents or umbrellas used. Remember to properly weigh everything down and don’t obstruct someone else's view.
Enjoy a fun weekend of open-air music, treats, and local downtown shopping.
